Shannon L. McCullough

Project Manager
I knew I wanted to be in this business when I got involved with the industry during college. From an early age I always looked at a space, indoor or outdoor, from the perspective of what it could be and how it could be designed to reach its full potential. This industry not only allows me to turn that perspective vision into reality, but also provides a means to serve others throughout the process.

During my time at Gateway, I have gained diversified experience working across multiple practice areas, and applied this experience on client projects in a variety of market sectors. My experience includes Chapter 102 and Chapter 105 permitting, land development design, stream and wetland restoration/mitigation design, stormwater design, construction administration, municipal plan reviews, DEP regulated Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) and Pollution Reduction Plans (PRP), and PWSA Development Permits. I work directly with clients, and various regulatory agencies and local governments throughout a project’s lifecycle to ensure client satisfaction and the successful execution of projects.

Prior to Gateway Engineers, I worked at Environmental Planning and Design in Pittsburgh where I developed comprehensive plans and maintenance manuals, grew and managed client relationships, conducted data and field analysis for zoning, prepared permit documents, and developed proposals for new clientele/projects throughout the area.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time outdoors both locally and through travel. I enjoy activities like backpacking, hiking, and camping, especially because they allow me to explore native environments and ecosystems.
