Chelsea K. Diebold

Project Manager & Employee Development Manager
I knew I wanted to work with and help train people when I completed my internship at Johns Hopkins, working on programs and support initiatives for children with terminal illnesses. The holistic approach they took was remarkable. Since then, I have sought out opportunities to collaborate and learn (as shown through that program) and I found that within Gateway. Our approach to the development of employees comes from within, starting first with the employee and then holistically, involves all corners of the organization to ensure that can happen. This has continued to inspire me and challenge my own goals of what I thought possible in my own career. So truly, I still don’t quite have an answer to this question, because opportunities continue to present themselves – which is pretty incredible.

At Gateway, I work on a variety of projects that mostly involve the people-side of our organization (training, policy, HR, event, retention, etc.), which allows me a unique perspective on what goes into supporting employees. I collaborate with the leadership team to solve problems efficiently and support those within the organization, and I look for opportunities to improve operational excellence within my projects and throughout the company.

Prior to joining Gateway, I was an EAP account Manager and Research Associate at UPMC here in Pittsburgh.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters being active, exploring the outdoors, being creative and open-minded, reading, listening to podcasts, and traveling to new destinations.
