Sean M. Donnelly

Project Manager
I knew I wanted to be a Civil Engineer after I didn’t get accepted into the school of architecture at Penn State and was told by a friend that Civil Engineering “was close enough” ...

I perform many roles at Gateway, for most of the day I am working as a Project Manager on land development projects primarily located in the City of Pittsburgh and Oakland neighborhoods. When not managing projects, I assist other Project Managers as the leader of our Consultant Market Sector. In this role, I help PMs with marketing, networking, and selling our services to our business partners in the consulting world. I also perform the role of Subject Matter Expert and QA/QC lead on projects where other PMs and project teams are looking for my advice and opinions.

Before joining Gateway, I was an Estimator for Brayman Construction in Pittsburgh, and Engineer for the St. Mary’s County Department of Public Works in Lexington Park, Maryland and an Engineer for Daft, McCune, Walker in Baltimore, Maryland

I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling in our motorhome – mostly to state parks and campgrounds directly on the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. When I am at home, I like listening to music and taking care of my yard (but not cutting my lawn), and I sometimes enjoy watching sports (when the Penguins and Steelers are not too frustrating to watch)!
