Scott R. Baker

Project Manager
After an unfortunate work accident, I found myself looking for a new career. I fell back to my high school days in drafting class and decided to go with it, as I always liked drawing/drafting, and building things with LEGOs when I was a kid.

At Gateway, I joined as a CADD Technician working on a wide variety of projects across all market segments. I have progressed from that starting role to project lead, subject matter expert, and recently attained the position of Project Manager. As a Project Manager, I lead the execution of projects, providing value to our clients through performance, satisfying their wants, needs, and expectations. In addition to directly managing projects, I regularly assist other team members on complex and large projects and serve as a subject matter expert on stream and wetland restoration/mitigation projects, construction administration/inspection issues, and storm and sanitary installation.

I also serve as a Supervisor, supporting employees as their advocate, and assisting them in advancing their careers at Gateway.

Prior to Gateway, I served as a CADD Technician for Wallace & Pancher.

When I am not busy with client’s projects, I enjoy spending time with my family, whether family adventures, vacations, or just hanging out. I love coaching my daughter’s softball teams and watching her grow as a person and athlete. Personally, I have started to travel in the last two years and love finding that next place to visit or vacation. Closer to home, I love to golf, complete DIY projects, cook, and am a sports nut.
