Ryan R. Berner

Project Manager
I’ve always been fascinated with geography and understanding where things are ever since I was in elementary school. I would spend time in the library reading an atlas or informational literature about a specific place in particular. As I got older, I realized there was profession in GIS which would allow me to put my interests in spatial sciences to use.

I joined Gateway in 2003 as a GIS Technician, and became a Project Manager in 2011. As a Project Manager at Gateway, I work with a multitude of clients within diverse market segments. To successfully manage their projects, I oversee the scope, schedule, and budget of each project and lead the assigned team to execute the work.

I enjoy many hobbies that allow me to stay healthy and active both physically and mentally, such as hiking, camping, and cycling. I also enjoy listening to music and have played guitar since I was a teenager. I have three children and always enjoy spending time with them in the parks or settling down for a weekend movie and snack night! In addition to knowing where things are on the ground, I have always been fascinated with aviation and am pursuing my private pilot’s license.
