Richard D. Minsterman

Project Manager
I knew I wanted to be an engineer when I realized I liked to solve problems. At Gateway,I serve several functions. Many are senior roles related to the selling and executing projects. I position Gateway in certain markets to be seen as the leaders we are in those markets. I also assist the engineers and Project Managers (PM) with maneuvering through the myriad of obstacles in the Municipal market segments as well as introducing current clients and contacts so new Gateway relationships can develop. As for executing projects, I perform the Project Manager function and mainly ensure quality work from the project teams, client satisfaction and budget control through diligent project management. I also serve as a resource for more complex projects or with more difficult clients to help other PMs in meeting their goals for successfully executing projects.

Prior to joining Gateway, I held a variety of civil engineering roles and multiple firms, all in the Pittsburgh area.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time at our camp hunting, riding quads, shooting at our gun range, and just hanging out. I’m a grandfather to Benson and it’s the best!
