Michael A. Ogin

Project Manager
I knew I wanted to do something associated with CADD. After working for a civil firm for 4 years, opportunities were presented to move into a design role under a registered engineer. After working another 4 years I was given the opportunity to manage projects, which was a good fit for me.

At Gateway, as a Project Manager, my main role is to sell and execute profitable projects. Part of the role is to build relationships with clients and gain new opportunities for a sustainable portfolio. Additionally, as a Team Leader and Supervisor, I mentor other PM’s and resources to follow the Gateway Way. Prior to Gateway, my first career position was at Pedersen & Pedersen in Valencia PA. I was a rodman for 4 years on the survey crew there, starting in 1990. I then joined Olsen Engineering for 4 years as a designer in Butler, PA, and then Gray-Warnick Engineering for 4 years as a project manager, also in Butler, PA.

In my free time, I enjoy restoring cars from the '50s & '60s and vintage gas pumps. I currently own 3 classic cars and multiple gas pumps from the same era. I have two daughters and enjoy supporting their high school sports and spending time with family and friends.
