Josiah D. Hoefler

Project Manager
I knew I wanted to be a civil engineer when I discovered that I excelled at math and loved solving difficult problems. Now, every day, I get to solve problems for our clients.

I joined Gateway in 2017 as a Project Engineer, and my work mainly focused on helping our energy clients replace their aging infrastructure. In 2023, I joined Gateway’s project management training program where I learned how to perform my current role as Project Manager. My role at Gateway as a Project Manager is to provide excellent service to every client that I work with and to help them accomplish their goals. I love helping the people, companies, and municipalities who are developing our communities and making them a better place to work and live. Prior to coming to Gateway, I worked at PennDOT as a civil engineering intern in 2016. I had the chance to work on several bridge demolition projects as well as an endangered species relocation project.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy bass fishing (and often travel to do so), hunting, golfing, fixing houses, disc golfing, and traveling with my wife.
