Nathaniel P. Hayes

Project Manager
The decision to become an engineer didn’t come all at once or prior to college. I thought I wanted to be an Architect up until I interned at the City of Pittsburgh Engineering and Construction Department. After that, I focused on structural engineering and reinforced concrete design. After college, at my first job, I migrated into geotechnical engineering after performing construction inspection and material forensic investigations.

At Gateway, I am a Project Manager. In addition to managing a variety of client projects across multiple market sectors, I also provide engineering support for other project managers to fulfill the requirements of their projects for Gateway clients. Previously, I was a Manager, Engineer, and Inspector at Jeff Zell Consultants in Coraopolis, PA and a Geotechnical Division Manager for Allegheny County Public Works in Pittsburgh, PA

Personally, I enjoy trip planning, going on trips, and scheduling time to do nothing.
