Kevin P. Hannegan

Project Manager
I knew I wanted to be a surveyor when I was in Elementary School, and realized that people like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Daniel Boone and my father were all Surveyors. I always liked solving puzzles, the outdoors and adventure, and surveying contained all three.

I am a Project Manager of primarily survey projects at Gateway. I am completely responsible for the successful completion of the project which includes proposal preparation, project staff, safety, project trainings, project performance, billing and a happy client. As a senior employee at Gateway, I am also responsible for guiding younger employees in their careers and future at Gateway. I have spent 46 years working here, so they tend to listen to me!

I take my love of the outdoors seriously and especially the boating life, as I live on a houseboat on weekends April – October. I also enjoy skiing, hunting, fishing, hiking, biking and taking road trips. I love all forms of music, the beach and 90+ degree temps. I enjoy attending Steeler games and Penn State games, but prefer the pregame tailgating even more! I like cigars, vodka and playing guitar – usually all 3 together. I will make an exception to my love of the outdoors to watch auto racing, in all its forms, and of course, I enjoy spending time with my wife, kids and many friends!!!!
