Gateway Engineers and RIDC Welcome Ferguson Enterprises to Fairywood

Ferguson Enterprises celebrated the opening of their brand new 150,000-square-foot facility in the Fairywood neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

Gateway Engineers was proud to support our client, Regional Industrial Development Corporation, by performing surveying, site/civil, structural and traffic services on the project.

Sean M. Donnelly, P.E., Project Manager at Gateway, described the challenges faced, and the solutions created, to overcome the issues.

“The existing site elevation was located well below the adjoining roads. This created access and earthwork challenges that were solved through stepping the building pad for Phase 1 and allowing the Phase 2 site to accept the excess material and to adjust the elevation as needed to balance.”
