Summerbrook/Rahal Inspection North Strabane Township Municipal & Inspection Teams Ongoing The interesting feature about this project is that the site is actually two sites in one. The section along Route 19 is a commercial site and the site above this one is residential. Unlike most land development jobs, the two sites had enough of everything between them. The Rahal site was basically a removal of all material site, as very little material from this site was used on the site. Material was either hauled off site by other developers, for their site, or it was hauled to the Summerbrook section of the job. The Rahal site was made up of mostly rock, which was broken up with the use of hoe-rams. This rock was then used to create rock-toes in the larger, deeper fill areas. The biggest challenge was the coordination between the two sites. Large amounts of rock and coal had to be mixed in well with the better material on the Summerbrook site. After Gateway talked with the soils engineer on the project, a percentage was established for the contractor to follow.
