Steeplechase Development This project is located adjacent to Weyman Road and McRoberts Road and is a continuation of the Steeplechase Land Development Plan. The Gateway Engineers, Inc. has been responsible for the project management, plan reviews and construction inspection. One key feature of the project is that the Steeplechase Plan surrounds a Borough-owned park. Gateway has worked with the developer to grade into the Borough's park so the park is not disturbed. The developer also installed utilities for the park at their own expense. An access road was excavated and graded at the entrance of the development area. Large quantities of excavated soil were moved from the far side of the plan to construct the access road. Two pre-cast concrete storm inlets were excavated for and installed at the access road. The storm inlets were installed with the cast iron top sections at the finished design grade elevation of the proposed asphalt road. The storm inlets are part of the new storm sewer system. As part this of system, a 15-inch diameter sewer pipe was installed on a bed of #2B stone. The area around the sides and on top of the pipe was backfilled with #2B stone. The project is still under construction.
