Boyce Mayview Fields Development — Phase One Municipal & Land Development Team The Gateway Engineers, Inc., working as the municipal consulting engineer for The Township of Upper St. Clair (USC), recently broke ground on the planned $3.6 million dollar recreational park development located in the scenic heart of the southwestern Pennsylvania township. The highly anticipated Boyce Mayview Fields Development — Phase One Project will consist of two large multipurpose grass fields, one 400-foot baseball field, one 225-foot softball little league field and temporary parking, and infrastructure development to assist in accommodating the planned full development. The full development will feature an indoor recreation center and many extra amenities. Gateway has been the Township's consulting engineer for over 50 years, and the relationship has been marked by many successful projects, including the recent design/build of the Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Station. For the Boyce Mayview project, Gateway was charged with the task of developing the engineering, design and construction documents, as well as the project cost estimates. Other services included developing plans for the site layout, demolition, grading, utilities, erosion, sedimentation, storm water filtration, site lighting, and landscaping. Gateway will also be overseeing the site's construction management, administration and inspection services throughout the phase one project. Gateway is functioning as the main point of contact for the project and is responsible for relaying information between the contractor and township. Phase one is expected to be complete in early 2007.
