Monroeville Park The Gateway Engineers, Inc. worked for the Municipality of Monroeville and alongside the project architect to provide utility and stormwater management design and construction documents for the 125-acre Monroeville Community Park located in Monroeville, PA. Gateway worked with a landscape architect who provided the site layout and grading plan for the development. Gateway's responsibilities included preparing a stormwater management and erosion control plan for the site. The site was situated within two studied watersheds with four different release rates and drained to three separate watercourses. This project was a large undertaking due to the sheer acreage involved and the timeline in which construction documents needed to be completed. Gateway took the project and broke it into smaller parklettes. This allowed our team to start working on construction documents at a much earlier time, which meant increased savings to the client, as well as decreased project cycle time.
